I don't know how many of you on this forum knew, or dealt with Warton Parfit from Hinkley Lectershire in the past, but this morning I had an email from his daughter Lesley telling me that her Dad had died yesterday (Sunday 10th October), I was waiting for a reply email from Warton, and that is how I found out this sad news. I will miss him, a true collector who had a special interest in 9.5mm equipment as well as all the other guages, and if I needed a part for a projector or some other bits, Warton, and his website was always my first post of call.

Needless to say, my prayers are with Warton's daughter Lesley and the rest of his family at this sad time of loss.

Regards.
Ian

Hi Ian,
That is sad news,I met and dealt with Warton a few times over the years and only recently e-mailed him about a couple of bits,His website stated he was handing certain things over to his friend due to his health,A nice fellow indeed,Mark.

I have just received this email from Lesley, the daughter of Warton Parfitt, and put it on this board for those of you who knew Warton or dealt with with him.

Regards.

QUOTE:

Some of you may already know that sadly my Dad, Warton Parfitt, died on Sunday morning (10/10/10). I am trying to contact those who knew him via email or telephone, but it is quite a major undertaking and at this time, not something I feel up to doing, so I apologise if you recieve this message more than once, but Dad's email address book is huge, and I am ploughing my way through it until I can find a way to "send to all".

Some of you I have already spoken to and wanted to have the funeral details, which are as follows:

Friday 22nd October at 2pm at Sapcote Methodist Church, followed by cremation at the Heart of England crematorium. There will be light refreshments afterwards in the Sapcote Church hall. Anyone who wishes to attend will be most welcome.

Thank yu all for your kindness and friendship both to my Dad and to myself; it is much appreciated.

with warmest regards

Lesley Pitman

Sad news. I was in touch with Warton recently after a projector that was on his list and he said that he was unwell. I'll miss his stall which was a regular feature of the 9.5 get together's and the Rickmansworth Film Fun days. He often had some little gem to add to my collection and always reasonably priced. His enthusiasm and dedication to the hobby will be missed.
