How intriguing?

I have received an email from eBay this morning regarding one of the topic auctions discussed in this post. I placed a low bid on one of the "auctions" and thankfully was "outbid".

The mail has advised me that the listings have been "removed" a the sale was "suspicious" and under no circumstances should payment be made, if you were the winning bidder or offered a "Second Chance"!

It appears that eBay send out these mails to anyone who has bid on a "suspect" auction.

Has anyone else any further news????

Very interesting...............It looks as though my "theories" were correct after all.

Perhaps eBay's software vets out accounts based on the kinds of activities we've been griping about? (new, feedback changed to private, no feedback, multiple questions worldwide, international bids attempted but blocked via eBay policy)

If someone on this forum won this auction, please 'fess up!

I have found out that the seller ("plrlnganhltam") of the two "huge lots" of Super 8 films, discussed on this forum, is no longer a registered seller on eBay. [Wink]

I just hope that no forum member was involved in that "dubious sale" and if they were, then they get there money back, if any was paid.
