Hi everyone- I have a Sankyo where the motor runs about 30 seconds then stops. Once it's stopped it won't start up again unless I - unplug the machine and plug it back in. And I have to wait about a minute. Or I can unplug the unit, remove a fuse, then press play and it will run for its 30 second run again. And I also have to put it back to the off position and then back into play. Same thing with rewind. It will rewind for a longer amount of time but then if I put it in stop then play again or rewind nothing happens till the plug, unplug, waiting happens again. I have read the previous topic which Janice has been working on and I replaced the capacitor and the resistor. I purchased the transistor but didn't install it yet. But I was thinking it might be the micro switches. I have the machine semi apart but how do I get to the micro switches? I have the transformer pushed to one side but it's really tight in there. Any ideas?

It may very well be the micro switches Alan, but I would replace the transistor first. Then move on to the micro switches if that doesn't solve your problem.

Ok. I may as well since It is my patient sitting on my table..innards all exposed. Were you able to get to the micro switches on the 800?
