I need some help on this projector. The problem is the ceramic lamp holder has one of the connections missing. All was fine till the lamp just went out part way through a ahow and the rcontact that engages on the lamp pins has broken and looks like it's missing. This particuler part is rivited on to the frame that carries the bulb and is screed to the main casting, The wires dissaper in to the back. Does anyone know how I can replace this part and where I can buy a replacement. Any help would be very wellcome.

Hi Colin, You should be able to pick up a lamp base socket Maplins.co.uk You just push it onto the two pins of the lamp. The socket has a ceramic base.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/search?criteria=2+pin+dichroic+lamp+base+socket

Below is the wording from maplins web site:

Dichroic Lamp HolderA porcelain lampholder for use with low voltage ceiling fittings which take standard dichroic lamps and any two-pin lamp with a GX5.3 base. Cable 100mm long
VJ11M
only £3.49
In Stock

Ian.
