Someone is selling a drum loop absorber on E-Bay here .

I only have one question - what on earth is it for?

Stewart

ps. Answering "to absorb drum loops stupid" won't be accepted!

Hi Stewart,
Looks like it is a continuous loop device, designed to mount on the projector so you can continuously run a short loop of a few minutes of film. Was used for advertising films in shop windows or stores.
Elmo made a similar device for the GS1200, and even Pathescope had one for the ubiquitous ACE projector.

Thanks Paul,

Makes one wonder why they didn't just call it a continuous loop adapter?
