Just read in Projections magazine that the well-known (to UK collectors) film historian and collector Brian Haynes died recently.
He was a familiar figure at Derann open days, the BFCC and wrote articles for FFTC.
Had a few chats with him, he was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person. Another loss to the collecting fraternity.

Yes, I saw that as well. I was only chatting to him at the May BFCC; very sad as he was a nice guy.

Bryan lived not far from me and was a regular broadcaster on local Radio Bristol.

A sad loss.

Bryan supplied films occasionally for use at the BFCC and was a constant source of good information for us. He was also a big Concorde fan so he and I shared more interests than most. I was very upset to hear he'd died suddenly after he'd only finding out he was ill a couple of weeks before. Keith and I are going to miss him greatly.
