Sadly, this gifted drummer, known for inventing the TWO BASS kit, has entered eternal rest and peace....

I had the honor and pleasure of doing sound for Louie and his wonderful wife Pearl Bailey at a fundraiser back when I was doing hotel A/V work. It is easily one of my most memorable nights, and something I will always cherish. They were both beautiful people in the real sense of the word, and I am sad to hear of his passing.

Claus.

I was sorry to hear this. Amongst drummers he was THE MAN, no doubt about it.

RIP

I particularly like his work on Duke Ellington's LP ELLINGTON UPTOWN.
