I am passing along some film festival dates in France for any of our forum users who may wish to attend. PLEASE pass this information along to any and everyone you wish (including other film forums) Also, the shorts & animations being presented will be in digital format.
Our association I Somnambuli, is planning the 6th edition of a short film evening “Courtoujours #6” to be held on 14th January, 2012, at the local Lannion theatre (le Carré Magique) in Brittany, France.
And on the 13th of January, 2012, at the local theatre of the small village Pommerit-Jaudy
Lannion is located on the north Brittany coast, between Brest on West and Mont Saint Michel on East, at around 200kms from Rennes.
Première partie
1. Chœurs russes, S. Fischer, (Allemagne 2006), 3mn
Quatre voix, un quatuor, non? Un hommage à la bravoure des cosaques intrépides qui ont fait trembler les troupes napoléoniennes. Film présenté en 2007 au Festival International de court métrage de Hambourg, dont le thème était « la patrie »
2. La leçon de natation, D. de Vent (France 2008) 9mn. Animation.
Jonas, cinq ans, s’apprête à suivre son premier cours de natation. Alors qu’il tente de fuir, il découvre d’étranges créatures dans la piscine. Prix du meilleur premier film professionnel, Festival de Krak Ukraine 2009
3. Le poisson rouge, C. Klapisch, (France 1994) 3mn
Une jeune femme transporte un bocal avec un poisson rouge. Elle évite une voiture en traversant la rue et lâche son bocal.
4. Chienne d’histoire, S. Avédikian, (France 2010) 15mn. Animation.
Constantinople 1910, trop de chiens errent dans les rues de la ville. Le gouvernement, influencé par le modèle occidental, décide de s’en débarrasser. On suit leur terrible exil. Palme d’or du court métrage au 63ème Festival de Cannes 2010

Un homme quête l’amour dans le métro. Les passagers l’écoutent, certains avec attention…

Un nouvel élève arrive au Lycée. Sélectionné au Festival de Sarlat
7. BBT Branque Brol Tambours, L. Brouyère, A. Breton, C. Gasnier, B. Leleu, (France 2010) 6mn. Docu 3D.
Globule vit en autarcie totale au fin fond des Pyrénées. Il accumule du bric à brac et nous confie sa vision du monde. Sélectionné aux Festival de Clermont Ferrand et Bruxelles 2011
8. Sinna Man, Anita Killi (Norvège 2009) 20 mn. Animation.
Les secrets de famille et les tabous provoquent des actes de violence. Un enfant en subit les conséquences. Nombreux prix dans le monde entier pour son engagement contre la maltraitance domestique, en particulier le Prix UNICEF au Festival international d’animation d’Annecy 2010
9. Tout le monde dit je t’aime, Cécile Ducrocq (France 2010) 6mn
Marion, 16 ans, vient de recevoir un message d’amour de son copain. Elle le confie à sa meilleure amie. Les deux jeunes filles ne l’interprètent pas de la même manière. Déjà 11 sélections en Festivals

Une rencontre entre un jeune homme et une femme dans une grande surface. Le jeune homme devrait s’en souvenir.

Apparitions et disparitions d’une religieuse vêtue de noir sur un écran. Ne jamais sous-estimer le côté obscur. Nombreux prix en 2007 (Sao Paulo Brésil, Trebon république Tchèque, Guadalajara Mexique, Montévidéo, Uruguay)
2. Kwiz, R. Callebaut (Belgique 2006) 10mn
Dans une salle d’attente d’hôpital, armées de téléphones portables, deux dames se livrent à un impitoyable test de connaissances.

Une esthétique surprenante pour illustrer sous un nouvel angle la problématique environnementale.
