Hey,

-at least there is film on the reel!

Sometimes sales like this show up with nothing but the box and the reel!

This is actually pretty obscure knowledge these days. A friend of mine became that way while she was selling her Dad's collection of railroad films on E-bay. It was so many films spread out over so much time a conversation developed. I taught her how to tell R8 from S8 (a little 16 too), how to tell if a film is silent or sound, B&W or color, and things like looking for fade, VS and mold.

By the time we were done she was probably the Film Expert in her neighborhood.
(yet without any films left!)

I appreciate the friendship too: when I lost my job she sent a list of what she had left and set aside the ones I wanted until I was back on my feet.

All I ask is a wide screen and a projector to light her by...
