This might be going to far back for most here, but who can remember the TV series from the early 1970s "A Family at War"? The outstanding music during the credits and for anyone that watched it like me its was engraved on our memories.
I did watch the series on a old B/W TV, but have never heard the music or watched the series since the 70s. Last night I came across those credits on you-tube, here it is once again...amazing. https://youtu.be/0y11bhs21Ek

Before I moved to the US, we used to have it on Danish TV. It's a pity WETA/Public Television here hasn't gotten the distribution rights to show it; it seems very hard to come by in general (DVDs and such.) I would love to re-visit the Ashtons....

I used to watch FAMILY AT WAR weekly when it was first shown on TV here in the UK away back in the 1970s. It was this theme that got me into the music of R.V.WILLIAMS. Quality music in a quality television drama series.
