In its latest issue, the (French) Ciné 9,5 magazine says that the Cinémathhèque is looking for the 9,5 reels number 2052-2053-2054-2059-2060-2071-2073. They want to compare them with the 35 mm version as they are reconstructing the film "Napoléon". For more informations, please contact monsieur Georges Mourier georges.mourier@wanadoo.fr (tel in France : 01.42.93.50.51)

Why don't they just ask Kevin Brownlow? He knows the differences?

I understood that they wanted to compare the quality of some 9,5 prints with the quality of the copy they have, but I may have misunderstood.

I have some of those reels but i am sure not going to send them to disappear in a French archive.

I have no idea about the way they would handle and care the films they will receive. It should be safe as it is an official body. An e-mail contact to them should tell you more.
