I've just had an advert for a GS-1200 pointed out to me in Loot - £599 (I think). Unfortunately I didn't get the details down but if anyone's after a cheapie you'd better get to the newsagent. It could also be listed on-line.

John

Yes it is on line. The chap I spoke to inherited it and says that "they managed to get it running for 3 hours" and that a Dealer has been around to see it (Is that you O'Reilly???) and also "got it running". He is situated in Catford (South London??) and is going to let me know if it the later model and if so what lens it carries.

I will let you know

Tony

If you buy that Tony you will be duty bound to sell me your St1200, think of it as a charitable act.I need optical sound and a 150 watt lamp and I need it now.
Best Mark.

Hi Tony
This is the version 3. I rang the guy about a week ago. I am sure he said it was a 1.1 lens though. [Roll Eyes]

Colin,

He is supposed to be sending some pictures. What put you off buying?

FYI...
That advert has been running for months and months in LOOT and gradually the price has come down and down... don't know why it hasn't sold by now though?

At that price it's probably worth having for spares.

Tony
I was interested for the lens if it had been a 1.0
I would have probably bought it, then swapped my lens and sold it again.
The other thing I found strange was the comments 'Had it running for 3 hours'...Then what. [Roll Eyes]
As Ricky says, It has been running in Loot for some time. I am sure the time previous to this it was in for £725.

I would also ask him what other bits he has, if I were you [Wink] . He said he had the reel and some other bits and that he was going to look at selling these separately.

Colin,

Yes, you get a gut feel for things and for some reason I don't get a good feel for this one.
