Hi well as I`m lookig for a nice optical sound projector I thought one of these may do for a stand in so to speak.
Anyone got one, do they have a tone control, whats the sound like on optical, does it go quite high, kind to the film???
How do they run, quiet, noisey etc.
Infact if you`ve seen one, had and used one etc etc I`d apreciate a few pointers.
Thanks Mark.

Hi Mark

I will post on this one for safety.

Never owned a Chinon but was told by Derek that they wouldn't hire out to anyone owning a Chinon because they scratched films.

That Elmo's Done, Chinon Done, Do I need to mention Cinerex or take it as read. Never liked Eumigs either as you couldn't get the film out if you had a problem.

Rolling around on the floor are you sniffimg Thermo again or has your balance been affected by your extra attachment.

If I keep writing like this I will have more posts than Elmo Man

Hey whats going on in my thread Milman.
I want some proper serious advice here.
Only kidding!!!!
Come on somebody must have had one of the things.
Oh dear suffering from the piddling again Mike, its got to be negative cin`e energy affecting your bladder again!!!
Don`t talk to me about Eumigs, arrgh oh dearie me, especially the dual gaugers aarrgghhhh again.
I think on the chinons it was the naff soft plastic top sprocket shoe that wore each side very quickly as the film went in.
Why Oh why didn`t some of these manufacturers use a bit of savy and use a bit of something serious there.
I once saw a chinon 1200 and it looked to be just the same there.
Hope the 9500 is better. I dare say they are all Ok if you just shoot a few 50 foots of film once in a blue moon.
best Mark.

I owned a chinon sp330 (?).
It was a horrible, horrible little machine with a 50 watt bulb. It ate many of my trailers, and my Enter the Dragon 400ft....come to think of it, what didn't it eat? Everything came out of that machine looking like an accordion, or a strange square slinky. I hated that machine to death!
then I got my GS1200...heh heh....
