Well its breaking news and he was a bit shy to tell you himself so I will.
It seems romance is in the air in NIreland, and the ever sexypert Mike N has found a new love in his life.
A very sexy and sleek Elmo St180, a tasty little fawn number, who scrubs !!! up very well and looks a treat in a black nighty.
It all started on a cold Saturday night, Mike was just thumbing through his huge pile of super 8 Laurel and Hardy`s and casually glanced over at the sweet young elmo and was sure she gave him the eye, nights turned into weeks, weeks into months and now the happy couple have decided to announce themselves to the world.
Its only fitting a man so enamoured with cine should find his match this way and the really good news is although classics fumeo hit stoney ground I have it on good authority, "Ellie " is not on the pill and we could well see a small run of brand new baby elmos if conditions are right.
Go for it Mike and all the best for a happy and productive union and lots of heady super 8 Romance, you lucky boy you.
Best Mark. ( just stuck with a frigid eiki 16mm)

Much prefer my Sankyo 800 much better than any Elmo
as it works every time and does not involve any rubber
instruments being superglued onto it!!

Do you know that the gate of a Elmo GS1200 needs scraped down with a wire brush after every show. A real projectionist told me that!! [Razz]

Rubber instruments glued into it, what have you been up to Mike.
What about a snazzy bauer, they are very seductive and quiet and timid and try to please.
Are there any film collectors left in NI these days then, you asside( well you are a sort of film collector, left over type jobby like myself)
best Mark.
Must go, the daily politics is on and I have a sad life.!!!!!!

Rubber is Tony Milman's preference see Elmo Shutter
thread.

Yes, there are collectors here in Ulster and the other 26 counties but they are all shy, sensitive and sensible (like me!!!)
and for reasons of national security I wont reveal their identities!!

Have you seen this I could play this all day!!

Great fun, though I think my old banger ( not the good woman ) was struggling again.
I was looking at a new computer package the other day, we can just pop it in the boot for you and you can take it away now the chap said, its ready to go just plug in and your off.
only thing was they expected to be paid first as well so that was a bit of a downer.

Well on the collectors front they are about extinct here, never much doing now its almost totally sunk I think thats for about 50 miles as far as I know, may be one or two here and there.

I wonder what sort of equipment Ian keeps in his shed, he seems to spend an awful of of time in there these days, must be hot in the summer, if we were to have one that is!!!!!!
best Mark.
