I'm not sure about this, but was the Charleston Heston Sci-fi feature (early 70's) "The Omega Man", ever released as a feature on Super 8?

For that matter, was it ever a digest?

I thought I saw it once on someones lists.

Osi,

I've had an optical print of this title once (quite a while back now), but as far as I know, this was not released in any edition at all on 8mm, although there may be a trailer to it out there, so an optical print is mostly likely the only 8mm source of this title.

Yeah, I think it might be possible on super 8 optical too. I have been amazed at what I've found on super 8 optical, (especially when it comes to obscure films from the 70's and early 80's), but it does make sense when you consider it was just standard practice to release a current film in as many venues as possible.
and in the 1970's it was still the only way you could see a current film, in the theaters. People today don't realize that until the 80's, the only way you enjoy a Hollywood film in your own home, is either hope to see it on the TV, or get a shortened digest (in most cases) on super 8, or, if you were really lucky, you were already collecting 16MM for your own home, in which case, you had many more titles (features) to pick from.

But back to optical super 8, this is why I never give up hope of finding, for instance, "Dragonslayer" for instance, on super 8 optical. Any film released between the years 1965 (I think) up through 1989, there is a chance that it will be on super 8 optical.

Hi,

there's a German trailer, but it looks like the film hasn't been released in Super8 (neither as a complete feature nor as a shortened version).

Hello,

for three years I was visting a good collector friend here in Germany. He is the owner of a full length version of this title in scope. I saw the print with mag. soundtrack on two 1200 ft. reels in cans.

I dont know who released this print and cant tell you something about the quality because I 'vent much time for my visit.

I think this is very rare to find.

Greetings
Ralf

Hi,

if there's a complete German version, you should contact the Filmdose or the board-member Andreas Eggeling.
