I'm sure my fellow Hammer fans here will be pleased to hear of another release that I had no knowledge of until I read a review in the latest issue of 'Projections' today. It's a trailer to 'PARANOIAC', which sounds entertaining and good quality, although there are one or two captions in view of the German source (English sound, though). It has been released by Classic Home Cinema. It's the only Super 8 release I'm aware of to feature a Hammer psycological thriller, other than the Columbia 400' of 'Scream of Fear'. So let's all buy it and convince Phil that there's a market for more!

Adrian - I have to be honest about my last purchase from CHC. I decided to purchase their Brides of Dracula trailer reel to support new super 8 releases as well as being a Hammer completist and I was very disappointed. The source material was so splicey that it was almost a joke... I don't think there was one line of narration that didn't have words missing. It is almost unwatchable. Also, I don't know what it is about the film stock but after a couple viewings it had green emulsion lines (very unusual on my GS1200 which I keep very clean). At 30 pounds (almost $60!) I was hoping for something more. I hope this new release is better, but I don't think I will take a chance on it.
I' m also a great fan of the hammer movies. Here in Germany was paranoiac also available on 16mm. I' ve a print of this in my own collection since a few weeks. The trailer is on black and white stock in CS with english sound. Also there are subtitels in german and french. I think this was made for international use.
In the german film magazine Cine 8-16 issue 2 there was a review.
