What do people suggest in terms of cleaning super 8 prints with mag striping since most cleaners loosen splices, etc, and I would die if I loosened the mag stripe simply by trying to clean the film? Curious what everyone's experiences are?

Dino - enter "Film Cleaner" in "Search", get comfortable, a large bottle of your favorite sustinance and allocate yourself about two days to read the plethora of suggestion etc. on this forum.
Enjoy [Wink]

You can't be too careful ...

I had my last remaining print from my first round of collecting in the late eighties (STAR WARS, 400ft), and I chose to take some diswashing liquid, VERY watered down, but it still was soapy enough.

Well, I'll tell ya, it did in fact amazingly clean the film, and it also amazingly lifted the stripe, shifting it about from where it originally was placed at.

Far Out! Total bummer, man! (my 70's roots coming forth!)
