I have that special edition of SWnow White with the two trailers. I'm particularly fond of the original release trailer with the color footage of Disney himself, introducing the dwarves.
A beautiful releases, pin sharp and lovely colors.
I'm also lucky enough to own a third trailer for Snow White, buyt for the life of me, I don't know what year this particular trailer was released. It's a full 2 and a half minutes, and it doesn't say anything about "restored" in any way so I must expect that it is a pre-1990 or so release. The print is on low fade L.P.P. and the quality is top notch, very sharp.
Anybody know where this trailer came from? I mean, what year of release? It doesn't appear to be any older that the late seventies, judging by the graphic style.
I even attempted to look it up on the Snow White 2 disc DVD release, (as it has nearly all the re-release trailers), but it wasn't anyone of those.

Jeroen, as I wrote in my previous post, it depends on the stock used. Try to check which ones were used for the excerpts you have in your collection. I've had at least 5/6 copies printed on Eastman (very pink) and Kodak SP (slightly brown) which were not comparable to Deranns, of course.
But trust me: I own an excerpt by Walt Disney Home Movies (THE DWARFS' DILEMMA) printed on LPP and color is definitely better than Derann full feature. I will post some shots as soon as possible .
Consider, of course, this is just my opinion. But, about Deranns, you should know that color quality of a print is not always the same. I've had two copies of MICKEY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL, just to make an example. One was really bluish. The one I actually have is stunning. And the same happened with some trailers that I have promptly substituted.
I must admit I am one of those who complained about color quality of Derann full edition of SNOW WHITE. But it could be simply a case. Maybe I'm the only one! Anybody else who has a copy of this movie not so excellent in color? Just a little curious, now... My copy was printed and supplied before summertime this year. And I have to say it's a little on the pink side. So unusual, I know, because it's a Derann, but it's true!

Micheal ...
Yes, my extra trailer is the same as yours. Do you know what re-issue it was perhaps?
Gian, I believe the difference in the color of the two "MIckey's Christmas Carol" would be because of the two major film stocks that Derann uses or has used ...
L.P.P. and Agfa
I have found that Derann's Agfa prints are far superior (in general) to the Derann L.P.P. prints which have, as you have stated Gian, a bluish cast to the color.
I have noted this with all of Derann's agfa/L.P.P. prints and, when possible, always ask the seller (Derann included, if it is on they're used list), which of the two film stocks it is.
Though both of them are very sharp and beautiful, always go for the Agfa stock, which I have always found to be superior. Please note that this is my own opinion.
If you still have both "Christmas Carols", please inspect the two prints and report back as to whether the better color print is Agfa.
