I just picked up a set of S8mm adapters this weekend from Neil Research Labs. I opted for the top of the line brass adapters over the mid-grade aluminum or econo hard plastic....to make it short, the quality is as good as the Film-O-Clean. Unlike the Neumade adapters, these fit ALL reels I tried them on. If you have the Neumades you know what I mean...Newmades have to be punched out of certain reels such as the Elmo auto-reel because they are made too large to begin with.

Neil Research Labs adapters have a wider base, set screw, registry pin (guess that is what you call it), AND a screw on locking hub. Sometimes I "cheat" when re-winding S8mm and use a 16mm projector as a power winder instead of going out and using my power winder [Cool] Since these have the screw on hubs, I can now "cheat" and find a use for my 16mm Bell & Howell 2585 that just collects dust. Nice pics Wayne !

Glad you are happy with the adaptors.

I have not had a chance to get them listed on my website yet, but Wittner-Cinetec has ...

http://www.wittner-kinotechnik.de/neu/news2010.php#20100730-1

( note pics on this page are of a 'prototype' adaptor sent to Wittner during the development, the first link displays photos of the production adaptors )

They even posted the list I sent them detailing the production cycle ... so if anyone is wondering what I do to actually make the adaptors then you can go see the laundry list.
