How many belts does this machine use? Rubber/ spring? Can they be replaced without disassembly? Thank you for any info in this regard.

The guy on Ebay that sells projector belts for most any projector has just the spring rewind belt. It is an accessory that you put on the upper pully and the frame advance knob on the front if you don't want to rewind by hand. My guess is that internally, it's all gears, no belts as the take-up spindle is in the rear, on the motor housing.

you are right. There is no internal belt.

I just got one of these off ebay. Is there anything that should be lubricated other than the 3 oil locations? Like internal gears that may require grease.

Bryan, are you happy with your purchase? Do you find the motor noise irritating? Overall opinion?

I have not run it very much yet but from what I read about it I was expecting it to be much louder than it really is. It's a silent camera anyhow so it's not like it is going to drowned out the sound. I am very happy with it, it's a beautiful projector plus it's hard to go wrong with Bolex. I have had great luck with Bolex projectors and cameras.

If bearings start to make noise (switch off immediately), it is recommended to put some more drops of oil into red marked oil spot on top of projector close to film path. Repeat it up to six times but in about daily intervalls until you have achieved success.
There is a wick-system inside which leads oil to bearings and claw mechanism. Because wicks are rather long it takes up to several days to reach bearings. So it needs time.

The secret is: There is a tooth belt inside from Motor axle to shutter shaft, but it needs no attention. It is in more than 99.8% in perfect condition. No need to dismantle - and often damage - projector (parts).
Therefore I tell customer there is no belt inside.

Thanks for the information Josef. I will assume that the projector I got has not been oiled in some time and do as you recommended. What happens when you here the noise? Does that mean bearings are seizing and being destroyed? Is the oiling the only servicing that these projectors require other than cleaning the film path and lens?

If noise starts means bearing(s) is /are seizing and will be destroyed soon. There are sliding bearings made from brass.
To each sliding bearing leads a oil wick, ending in one oil spot on top.
The carbons last very long. No further attention is normally needed.
