Hi everyone! So glad I found this site. I just took possession of something like 9k feet of old family films(1955-1970). And in my hunt for a projector I came across a Keystone R-8. Its needed a little love so I cleaned it up oiled it and its near mint. I even have the manual it came with in 1939. I also have a ton of super 8 film. With my lack of knowledge I didn't know there was a difference of film. Now I'm on the hunt for a super 8 film projector. Something under $200. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Welcome, Matthew!
You could look on ebay or craigslist for a decent Super 8 projector, but there are still many good dealers who will stand behind their product and maintain the projectors they sell with new belts and rollers. My personal favorite is Larry Urbanski; you can look up Urbanskifilm on the internet. I originally chose to deal with Larry because he is in my area (Chicago), but I've stuck with him through the years because he is honest and helpful. You may want to do a few searches in order to find a dealer closer to you. If you pay a bit more for a projector from a dealer, it's usually worth it in the long run-too many ebay sellers are dealing with projectors that have sat in a closet for 30 years. Good luck!
