Does anyone know which projector which plays Regular 8mm sound has the brightest bulb. I love my Eumig 800 series projectors but a 100watt bulb isn't really cutting it with my screen size. So if anyone knows of a Regular 8 sound projector with a bulb of 150Watts or highers please post the info.

I had the same problem, and was forced to make a modification, since I could never find one bright enough...I modified a kodak sound 8 to handle a 300w halogen since the fan in that projector is very powerful...The only suggestion would be to run the sound through an amp since the kodak amps are the size of a pea...

Brian.
I converted a 800 range machine to 2-blade shutter and with the Bolex 1.2 lens fitted plus Osram lamp it put out more light on my 8ft screen than a 150w machine with 3 blades. Measured! [Eek!]

Dino,

How did you accomplish the conversion? I have the sound 8
model too.
One of the two does not fully retract the claw, and it rips the sprockets.
