I got this Superman cartoon from Peru. The title on the credits is "Mysterious Mister Mist Part 2. I believe it was copied from a TV print as there are comercial slugs in it. Also, it appears to be optical sound and not magnetic. There is a stripe down the side on the film but it is not a magnetic stripe. The color is redish but still watachable. the company is Techno Film #SM 108. It is a 200' reel with about 180' on it. It came in the original box. Check out the screen shots and pic of box. If anybody has more info on this please respond. Also, if you happen to have Part1 and not 2 I will either buy Part 1 or sell you Part 2. This is from the CBS TV cartoon series from 1966?

Pat,

From the artwork, I believe it was originally released by Techno Films in Italy.

You can get the part 1 from www.Ebay.it or ask Gian or other Italian members here.

cheers,

I wonder if these were prints that were originally used in those coin operated "viewing booth" that many of us remember so vividly from the 60's and 70's.

I thought the same but it's not. It is actually about a mist that when occuping a persons clothes takes on his or her appearance.Even though I can't hear the sound it's fun to watch the animation.

I am sorry Pat, English is not my mother tongue, so perhaps I should use "may" instead of "can". I just suggested you to visit the Ebay in Italy so you best may find there.

cheers,

It's always neat to see just how far across the globe this hobby spanned. Peru, huh? Fascinating.

Hi Brad

Yep, Lima, Peru. And the shipping was only 7.99 USD. It arrived in 14 days. I thought it was very cool that s8 films were even there. That's the real fun of this hobby. Now, if I can just find part 1! [Confused]
