Just wanted to share a lucky buy on Ebay. I paid $4 for a 200' Pit and the Pendulum digest the seller said was black and white silent. It arrived today and is not only sound but it also has the BEST color I have ever seen on an old Ken release. Just wanted to share my luck... most the time it's the other way around!

Brian
I love those story's. I have one. I bought a LG Blu-ray player 2 weeks ago for 3.25 plus 10.00 shpping. It was as-is non working. When I got it I noticed a dent on the corner where the ac plug went in. I took it apart and found the socket had broken away from the circut board. A little soldering and WALLA! A like new , perfectly working player!

That's great! I had something similar happen to me last summer. I bought four Ken 400' digests. "The Sound of Music" (sealed),"Evel Knievel" (sealed), "One Million Years B.C.", and "The Three Musketeers"(1973). The seller said "Musketeers" and "One Million" were b&w silent. Well, it turns out the "COLOR SOUND" stickers had fallen off. They were, indeed, color. All were a bit faded but looked like they had never been watched. I got the lot for $33.

Congrats Brian. Since I fell into this hobby/addiction five months ago most of my purchases have fallen a tad short of being categorized as "a great find." However, ...all these stories are encouraging.

Nice one Brian...and Chris!
I have the 1943 Batman serial and it's edited all together on 4 1200' reels with the beginnings and endings missing. I like stuff in there original boxes...
Back in December guess what I found on eBay....
1943 Batman serial original boxes only (all 15) with beginnings and ends included. His edited version had accidently got thrown away....I couldn't believe my eyes! I won the auction too!!!
