Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me!! I have an Elmo st800 like new the motor stop working/turning. I know there is nothing wrong with the actual motor, and fault is around the areas that sending the power to the motor. But where is the question ? any component on the circuit board responsible for this problem?I would be grateful with your input. Thank you Regards Leon

Hi leon, i have a st800 which had a similar problem to your's, motor stopped midway through showing a film .It may not be the same fault but you can have a look, if you take the back off ( main's plug disconnected ) detatch the speaker connection, on the main board there is one large push on connection with several coloured wires like a an early computer plug, you will need to get under this connection to see the board under neath and where the soldered joints are they may be fractured all around the pins that are soldered to the board ,these have an effect of making and braking the connection to your motor power. You will need to remove all the old solder on these pins if this is the fault and replace with new .It solved my problem and has worked perfectly since the repair.Good luck and please let us know the outcome.
