Was Derann's release of this film in Scope or Flat... I used to have an odd reel and can't remember. I just watched the film on Bluray (hadn't seen it in 20 odd years) and I forgot how great it is. I also remember the Derann odd reel had bluish tint - not true black and white stock. Were they all that way or are there some nice ones out there... And oh yeah, if anyone would like to sell a print please let me know!

Hi Brian, the Elephant Man was released in 'scope but it was on
colour stock which did give a blue tint. 5x600' 125 mins

Hi Brian,

I've owned 2x prints of THE ELEPHANT MAN over the years, one was on colour stock and one on Black and White stock.

To be honest the colour print had slightly better contrast than the B&W print, both were lacking in sharpness and definition... the Blu Ray is far superior... now I'll go wash my mouth [Big Grin]

Best,
Rick

Brian, the very title was sold at Ebay a couple month ago for $330.

Here it is:

This print is in scope and B/W stock. From screen shot below I could say it has better contrast.
