I have just got a ST800 however is seems to be running to fast!, the voices are almost squealing, I have other projectors and the film sound is fine except this one, I know of machines going slower but never faster, any ideas?

There are 2 pots that control speed for 18fps and 24fps. You can try adjusting these (don't use something metal to turn the pots). This might be a bigger electrical problem however...check out this thread http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=001188
