We borrowed an old Revere 85 projector from a friend. Everything seems to work...but within 5 seconds of turning it on, it starts to smoke. I know this is a bad sign...but not sure if this usually means that a specific part has gone bad or if there is anything that can be done to fix this projector. Any suggestions?

It may just be dirt and oil from sitting for a long time.
Is it smokeing with or without the lamp on?
