HI there. I found the site after a google search for an Elmo F80 projector. Yesterday my girlfriend and I went walking about our small town going to a few antique stores just basically looking for cool stuff. I'm a camera operator for live television, and a huge film buff so I have always been on the look out for vintage cameras, as a collection but also ornaments/conversation pieces. They're also something I've just always loved and been interested in. I found a beauty but it was way out of my price range. We went to a shop across the street and I found a seemingly perfect shape ELMO F80 projector, with case. The price tag was $35 Canadian, and the guy said he would take $25. So after my long story there, my question is: is there anyone on here who knows much about these projectors that I could maybe ask questions to when needed (inevitably as I am new to this) ?? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Please click on to David's review, that should help. Be aware it is a standard 8 (regular8) only and will not run super 8mm

Thanks Mal. Do you think I should repost (copy & paste) my message there or private message the user who started the thread? He seems to know a lot about this model. Just wondering what's appropriate as a new user of the site.

David is the man to contact regarding these projectors. A PM or email may be your best bet

hi Dave,
I just looked at David's profile. It's been a year since his last post on the forum, so perhaps an email instead of a PM would be best.
