I had a stream of kids all night. The hardest thing was juggling answering the door...handing out candy...and manning the projectors. Kids don't understand..."Just a minute...I have to rewind the film."

I'm putting together a video...but here are some pics.

Last night (the 31st October, there is a time difference between Europe and the US), I was invited for a dinner. In the middle of it, someone rang the bell and the lady who was hosting was confused until I remind her it was Halloween (popular not so followed in Belgium as in Anglo saxon countries). I will have a Halloween screening tonight (as I was away yesterday) but for sure it will not beat yours, Janice.

Thanks to Janice's instructions she gave me last month, I was able to back screen on our front window Halloween night. It was a hit with everyone, lots of nice comments. Some of the parents commented that they hadn't seen projected film since being kids themselves. We showed Nosferatu, The Invisible Man, a reel of The Cat People and some assorted shorts. Thanks again Janice.

Well done Clay. I'll bet you had a lot of fun putting it together too [Smile] With my son's grown and out of the house...I hadn't really enjoyed Halloween until last year when I did my first window show. I'm so glad you did it and I'm sure the trick-or-treaters and their parents were happily entertained.

Do you have speakers outside?

Those back projected shots of Nosferatu on Clay's front window look really creepy! I think Janice has started a whole new Halloween thing here, I may have a go myself next year. [Smile]

Yes Paul...you should do this next year.

Steve... I didn't use any sound from my projectors this year...just made a custom Halloween CD and played it on a portable DVD player connected to a small guitar amp. I just opened one side on my sliding window and aimed the speaker out the window. Last year I showed sound cartoons while rewinding the other projector. My amp has two imputs so I plugged both the projector and the DVD player into the amp.

Amazing - I wonder if all the kids were brave enough to come to the door of such a spooky house!

Adrian... I think the pics and video made it look scarier than it really was. Except for some teenagers the little kids came with their parents. They all looked pretty brave walking through the scull lights to the front door. They were so adorable...and some very creative costumes. One kid had a zipper pasted to his face and when I opened the door he said..."Lady...can you zip me up?" [Smile]

Janice were any of the kids fascinated or in awe of the movies being projected in the window? If so, what kind of comments did they make?

Timothy, I wouldn't say the kids were in awe. Moving pictures to this generation aren't that unique...even on a window. However, I think the teenagers and parents enjoyed the over-all Halloween ambiance. Many commented on how much they liked the decorations and the effort I put into it. That's good enough for me.
