Hey guys,

I split one of my film reels while playing it. Are there ways I could join it back?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Calvin...Welcome to the forum. You will need a film splicer. A Kodak Universal Presstape Splicer and Presstapes is good choice since it will splice both Std. 8mm and Super8mm and works on both acetate and polyester film. You can pick one up on Ebay. Some sellers also include a few presstapes.

Take a look at this instructional video I made:

Hi Janice,

Thank you so much for the information. I will do a search on Kodak Universal Presstape Splicer and Presstapes.

And thanks for the instructional video. It is very detailed and most helpful.
