I put a new belt on the projector. The lamp lights but no light comes out of the lens. It seems to be a shutter-timing issue but not being too familiar with the equipment I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saying that the light is not projecting through the lens when you are running film?... or just when you turn on the light with no film? You need to run film to test the lamp.

Press the loop setter guide down and then turn the lamp on. If you turn the lamp on first and then depress the loop setter guide, the auxiliary shutter will not retract and you will have a situation such as you described.

Thanks Folks! I'll give that a try and report back:) That solution worked like a charm! I hated to attempt to sell it as "non-working" when I felt, due to it's nice condition it in fact should work.

As you can probably tell I'm new to forums. LOL What is the going rate for the Sankyo 2000H? It has the original box, take-up reel, cover and the power cord. The take-up reel still has the cardboard insert.

Barry, my advice is to check Ebay for selling price ranges. There are a lot of factors built into what buyers are willing to pay for a projector. Mechanical and cosmetic condition are key factors along with whether a unit has been reconditioned/serviced... and tested.
