Hi, just home from picking up some boxes of standard 8 reels with film on of course.
Do you think there's still interest in this format to take my time to list them here with a price .
I was never much into Standard 8 , more Super 8, 16 and 35.
I see in the box we have Pathe , Castle and Heritage films/shorts.
It's from a collector who passed away, some things I never even heard so far, will have quiet some research to do or will need help to figure out what it really is.
Please be helpful, don't shoot at me. Thank you and God Bless, Gilbert

In accordance to Barry at independant 8, there is still a steady stream of Standard 8mm collectors and demand apparantly.
I know the films themselves however, only fetch nominal amounts though unless you picked up a dozen full length prints of Psycho maybe.

Will have to check them one by one. No idea of value so far.

I'll say one thing about Standard 8 film I have noticed.

To date I have scanned several thousand feet of standard 8 home movies from the mid 60's and the colour has held up a million times better than the Super 8 stuff I have been scanning.

That may not be the case for commercial prints, but the home movie stuff on standard 8 has really kept it's colour .

I have been using the wolverine scanner.
