I must say, for me, I believe "Grizzly Adams" is more a "perfect moment" from mky childhood. This title is pure nolstagia for me. This film represents many personal feelings that I have about life in general.
I could live, on my own, (well, with wife and child in tow, of course), in the wilderness and with my extensive survival skills, (thank you "special forces" ... my years in the military), if necessary, when all others are pretty much running around with they're collective heads cut off, I and my family will do great, whether summer or winter. (there's lots to eat, even during the winter, and not the obvious animals).
So Grizzly Adams represents a lot of my personal feelings for society in general and it's inescapable collapse, (boy! I'm a closet pessemist, eh?) and a strong desire to be one with nature!
I think that sums up a lot of it.
