Hey folks!

All I want for Christmas is my ...

"Life and Times of GRizzly Adams" Either optical or magnetic sound feature print!

Though I ask about this so often that it seems like a joke, it isn't. I would love to have this feature film for my collection!

Will someone be my Santa?

I must say, for me, I believe "Grizzly Adams" is more a "perfect moment" from mky childhood. This title is pure nolstagia for me.
This film represents many personal feelings that I have about life in general.

I could live, on my own, (well, with wife and child in tow, of course), in the wilderness and with my extensive survival skills, (thank you "special forces" ... my years in the military), if necessary, when all others are pretty much running around with they're collective heads cut off, I and my family will do great, whether summer or winter. (there's lots to eat, even during the winter, and not the obvious animals).

So Grizzly Adams represents a lot of my personal feelings for society in general and it's inescapable collapse, (boy! I'm a closet pessemist, eh?) and a strong desire to be one with nature!

I think that sums up a lot of it.

Osi, I think I know what you mean. I have a personal favorite film like that called My Side of the Mountain1969 although sadly I only have a faded 16mm, but I do have it....It is about a 13 yr old kid named Sam that leaves his parents apartment in the city to live off the land in Canada and perform his algae experiments. He hollows out a dead tree to make a home for the winter, and "adopts" a raccoon and falcon...For years as a kid I wanted to run away and live like Sam...but then again.....How would I power my projector??? ??? Osi, I was thinking I could be your Santa, before the end of the year. No no, it's not about FANTASIA, unfortunately [Wink] .
And it's not about LIFE AND TIMES OF GRIZZLY ADAMS.

Well, to be honest I don't know if I'll be in a position to do what I have in my mind before Christmas, but give me a couple of weeks and maybe I will tell you something about this little surprise [Eek!] .
It depends on a couple of things. Hope I'll be able to do it.

Take care, my friend.
Ciao.

Did you get it? I hope so, knowing only few people are interested with Optical prints.

Someone mentioned on another thread that Osi is without internet access for a period of time, how long I don't know. Can anyone contact Osi by phone to let him know this print is on this list? He's been looking for this title for years, I believe.

Ian, will you hold this print for him until he can be contacted? I'm thinking he surely would want to get it.

Good to know. He wrote me yesterday and he told me he would not in a position to use his own PC for a while. He's surely going to be happy after reading this.
Thanks Ian.
