Not my item. I wonder is tape still available for this and how expensive is it? The roll included won't last very long. This could be a very handy item. Anybody got more info about these things?

Pat, try Classic Home Cinema, they had, or have, a striper for sale, perhaps they can point you in the right direction regarding stripe.

I used the Rexette for years way back in the 1970s-80s, its excellent to use and I like the idea of the rubber roller that keeps a constant pressure as the film meets the stripe.
I striped most of my film with this unit and to this day the stripe is fine, I would give it a 10 out of 10 for being user friendly to.
If you can still buy the cement and stripe then the Rexette would be well worth getting. However cleaning the film with the right cleaner is critical to any striping process.

Well I decided to get it. I'm probably getting in over my head. I've never even recorded sound before. However, I do have a Beaulieu 708 which looks like a decent projector for recording sound. I guess we'll see how it goes...

I think I got a pretty good deal on it too. Got it for $125, it needed a belt. The screen still "shakes" at times so I haven't used it much. I need to spend some time with it and try to figure out what is going on. The sad part is I don't think I even know the proper way to pronounce Beaulieu

125 $, that's not a good deal, that's the bargain of the year ! The only way to learn how to pronounce Beaulieu is to hear it pronounced by a French speaking person. If you try Beaulieu on youtube maybe you will find a demo of a cam or a projector and if you're lucky, the magic name will be pronounced. I didn't check as I am using my mobile until the end of the month.
