Hey this is my first post so sorry if i make a few mistakes.
If been working at a filming & production company in south africa and we have recently started trasnfering old vhs tapes and records to dvd and cd. we even started transfering 16mm & 8mm films to dvd and i was lucky enough to get that job. so far if been doing ok on my own since there is nobody here that still works with them. but if run into a problem thats got me stumped. My 16mm Pageant Sound Projector Model AV-126-TR-R does not play sound altough all its components are in working order. Any ideas what im dealing with and how to fix it?

Greetings
This might sound dumb.
Did you turn on the amp switch?
I had the same problem as i was servicing a 250 for got to turn it on (amp)

On the other hand it might be in the amp board itself, I Had to replace 2 Caps in the circuit board..

Hi Philip, Sorry I can't help you with your sound problem but I noticed you're South African. I'm in Durban and an 8mm and 16mm collector working in the dark. Like yourself I found this forum really helpful. If I can be of any assistance at any time, let me know. Maybe a bit like the blind leading the blind. By the way there is an antique shop in Hermanus called I think Romantiques. They have old projectors and films, maybe they have some contacts or knowledge on the subject.
Cheers
Darryl

Yes i know about Romantiques. I used to work very closely with them but since then if been promoted to management and dont directly work with the films anymore. But the new person working with the films is Linda Chivel. She is a member of this forum but i can also give you her email if you think that you two can help each other?

Hi Philip
Thank you for your reply and congratulations on your promotion.
Yes, please give Linda my email, cheeky@netactive.co.za I am sure they may have films for sale but I can't find a web page for them.
Cheers
Darryl
