I have now thoroughly cleaned and serviced my recently acquired Elmo 16-CL. Wow! What a machine! Certainly the quietest I have ever heard. I think it could be an equal mistress along with the Ampro Major Mk 2 - for different reasons, though.

However, here's the thing.

It has the Elmo 1:1.5 38mm lens, but I actually need a 50mm lens.

If anyone has one for sale or exchange, or indeed knows where I might find one, I should be most grateful.

With many thanks and in anticipation,

Best,

Valves and celluloid - a great combination!
Early technology rules OK!

I'd keep trying, David. The 38mm is a good deal more desirable (and usually expensive) than the 50mm. Someone's got to want one. I would suggest you put it up on one of the US 16mm sites such as 16mmfilmtalk(dot)com. Lots of Elmo guys there.

David, I have a 50mm in mine and could do with a shorter focal length lens.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Hi Chaps,

So sorry, but the lens has gone. I did a swap with Larry Urbanski for an absolute mint unused 50mm.

Sorry to disappoint you, Kev.

Kindest regards,
