Very sad to read that Roger Ebert, collector, critic and overall lover of film, passed away from cancer today.
His great reviews will be sorely missed!

Yes I am also saddened about Roger Ebert's passing. I have many of his movie review/yearbooks and have enjoyed reading them very much. He always seems to articulate what I am thinking about most films. He almost seemed like a friend even though I only read his reviews....

... and boy, could he really get behind and champion a movie if he tho0ught is was well done. I attended one of his "symposiums" on the film "Dark City" (a favorite of mine as well), where he literally went shot by shot through the film to illustrate it.
His love for film went far beyond just typing reviews.
Rest in Peace!
