I notice that the classic "Renown" films has a great website selling some excellent British "B" classics...anyone bought from them and what is quality like when projected big screen. They do have some great titles including "The Night Caller" with John Saxon dir, John Gilling.
Mind you, one title I have been looking for a long time and just found it on You Tube "Harry H. Corbett in "Cover Girl Killer" a rarity...classic "British "B"..
A bikini-clad pin-up model is found dead by the Serpentine in the same place, pose and clothing as when she appeared on the cover of "Wow!" magazine. When the police find the same fate befalling other girls featured on the front page they realize a highly intelligent madman must be responsible. There's a super model serial killer on the loose, and the police seem powerless to stop him.
Director: Terry Bishop

Having bought a couple of Renown titles I have nothing to complain about. My only observation is that some of the storylines and acting etc. comes across as somewhat dated and I'd rather have the opportunity to preview them first!!!

Dave it may be on freesat as it's one of those free channels. I've seen Spencer Teakle in a few of the films lately, and wooden doesn't come into it, a lot of those Renown pictures have American and Canadian stars in them, Kill Me Tomorrow, has Pat O'Brien, there was another with Lloyd Bridges...

As Freeesat uses the same dish assembly as Sky, a technically minded person could probably tune their Freesat receiver to receive Talking Pictures TV. However, their website says "we are hopeful that we will be available on Freesat before or around Christmas 2015."

I have purchased quite a few of their DVDs, particularly those that were once issued on 9.5mm Sound and silent by Pathescope. It is interesting to see the footage that Pathescope edited out in order to keep the purchasing costs down. Ken Finch.
