My Son spotted an article yesterday about certain UK cinemas showing The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only back to back, we've booked our tickets for Wednesday 31st May so look out for it if your interested in seeing both these films in 4K high definition, looking forward to seeing them both on the big screen again, Mark

Thanks for posting this Mark.

I wonder what the 4K DCPs will look like compared to the original 35mm.

I showed both of these titles when they were brand spanking new prints at our local Odeon.

I have never been a great admirer of Roger Moore's Bond.
I always viewed them as big budget Simon Templar movies.

Hi David,
I'm a big Roger Moore and Bond fan but I agree on your comments about his Bonds were very much like the Saint, it's a programme I enjoy too, he never took himself very seriously but was very charismatic which made him a good Bond. I'll let you know how the films looked once we've been, I too saw them both on 35mm when they were first released so this will be a great experience for us both, Mark

Just got in from the cinema and have to say what a superb night, The Spy Who Loved Me looked amazing on the big screen, For Your Eyes Only followed and again looked great and so glad we went, quite a few in there and all ages too, I believe some of the money taken for these special showings is going to UNICEF so good all round and hope they do others, Mark

I have "For Your Eyes Only" as a super 8 optical sound feature, and it must have been printed on LPP film stock as it doesn't have a shade of fade to it, and very sharp ... too bad it's not in scope, however.
