Nice to see some colour on Apes as the old 200's are long gone pink
Yes the APES print I received had great color - much better than the iPhone photos I posted. My wait on my 1st order was 7 to 8 months. Most recently for 5 prints including the APES and ALIEN was just under 9.

But then I know a guy who has been waiting for over a year for a HOME ALONE print from ANDEC and the negative already exists. So wait times on new prints aren’t speedy. although I think some at ANDEC get priority treatment and the wait times are much faster. The orders at ANDEC should be processed first in first out but I don’t know if that is happening.

Do you know how large of a screen Cinetecnica Marino films from ? What kind of camera? Curious because the results to my eye for the price is pretty amazing.

Let me chime in on ANDEC. I sent a few negatives to their new facility sometime in July 2023. Every time I ask about my order I always get an excuse, CORONA is back, workers sick, etc. Last time I wrote I got "Dear Larry .Like all other orders , through some circumstances i can only start next week with printing . Sorry. Kind regards Ludwig Draser" That was 2/27/2025. So I don't know when I will get the prints, only 2 prints each. It didn't used to be this way. It was still a long wait but not like this. What I suspect, this is only my opinion, Ludwig is to told by the new bosses not to give priority to small orders such as mine and now it looks like the HOME ALONE digest owner, I'm sorry I forgot his name, my old brain.

So anyone who wants prints that Andec is printing you better order them from the first batch or you might have to wait months or well over a year, or two, or three, etc.

Phil at CHC said he had to cancel an order (he didn't say who from) afyer feeling it would never arrive but thet it did turn up, it would seem a whole year after he had given up on it. I bought a Errol Flynn Robin Hood trailer from that order.

The wait time is horrible, but it's kind of like going to the DMV ( or tag office ) to renew a driver's license. Yes, it's a real pain to wait a couple of hours for a ten minute appointment, but they're the only action in town. Andec is a rarity that we are all thankful for, and the fact that they are still willing to even strike prints on a largely dead format, with no real profit margins to speak of, HAS to be a labor of love to keep it going.🙂
