My Optical print of "Pale Rider" was faded so I moved it on.

Thanks for The Generations link Larry! Rarely see it come up for auction but it's a nice Derann Scope print! A few frame jumps throughout and a partial missing scene but otherwise sharp and very good color! My copy was mono and took extra effort to re-record it in Stereo but the sync is bang on and thank goodness the balance stripe was excellent as the presentation now is Brilliant! I will be watching this one...

Elephant Man feature, not often seen as there was a great deal of trouble with colour casts printing this B&W feature on colour stock.

Yes, I think the problem was that the printer was meant to print colour from a masked colour negative (orange base) and the filters used for colour correction sometimes weren't strong enough, or the printer needed maintenance, to cope with adding the orange to get a neutral print. I think this was the reason for the later Derann prints being slightly blue tinted towards the end as it was not able to cope with some batches of film. I know colour printing paper came with changes to filtering needed for correct colour so I assume positive film did too.
