Would agree. Any Derann print of Once Upon a Mouse would be infinitely better than any 16mm print from “ ye ancient days”.

As I said, it is an excellent S8 print, and yes I would say it is better than some 16mm prints. Its also quite possible that the LPP prints I see turn up on Ebay of that subject may be poor. However you're talking to a 16mm enthusiast, lol! Without wishing to deraling the topic of the thread, I have quite a few examples of Disney on 16mm from the 'old days', inc some technicolor prints. To my eyes and ears, 16mm, when done right, offers a bright, stable and sharper image than S8 can offer. On paper super 8 should have a better sound track, but in practice the optical sound on 16mm is often 'well bodied' with good detail and has the correct, sonic character! The Disney 16mm prints were done from good quality materials I'm guessing, probably because their reputation was at stake.
