Wanted: Tom & Jerry shorts

Hi Everyone,

Not new to the forum but first time poster. I’m looking to grow my super8 collection of Tom & Jerry titles (in colour and with sound). Loved T&J since I was a kid and only recently discovered how much fun it is to watch them on film. I have most of the Waltons and few of MGM/Ken as well as some really beautiful Derann prints but I still have a long way to go, especially that I’m after good prints with no fade if possible. I’m looking for the following titles which aren’t in my collection yet. DM me please if you’re interested in selling any.

PS. I’ll happily buy again a print of Polka-dot Puss as my recently acquired Derann print is on the reddish side… and it’s one of my favourite T&J episodes

I have 112 titles and need 11 more of Tom & Jerry ever printed on super 8mm.

My suggestion is that some titles are (only) available from non-English distributors such as Film Office (French), Top Film (Dutch), Piccolo (German) etc. As T&J film does not have dialog, the language will not be a big deal.

Hi Winbert, I know of your amazing collection - that old 8mm forum thread was very helpful in my search for the titles I managed to get. I hope one day to get close to that goal although I don’t really care for the scope era T&J where a lot of episodes utilized the old character animation with the new background or, if the shorts were completely new, they had a very simplified style and some talking characters bringing them closer to what Hanna Barbera cartoons became later on.. So I’m mostly after 1940-1954 and trying to find the best prints I can!
