  • Current Film Collection in Pictures!

    Greetings celluloid friends!

I've been in the process of organizing and cleaning my film shelf, so I thought it would be a fun topic to share pictures of all my films so far 7 years into the hobby.

Through trades, deals, and sometimes eBay, I have put together a nice little collection that I'm still actively building up! Watching, discovering, collecting, and sharing movies has been one of my life's greatest enjoyments.

First up, a complete super 8 print of A Christmas Carol starring Alastair Sim!

Thank You Lincoln. You have some great titles yourself. All small stuff for me no full features like the old days.

Mind you I have half of That’s Entertainment hat I have picked up reel by tell only the good bits Gene Kelly Judy Garland and Fred.

Just You and Me on this thread plus the Watchers in the under growth

I’m sure somebody will come out well maybe jump in the pool at some point. Out of curiosity is Return of the Jedi a 600 digest or the full feature? I remember debating buying ET in the 1990s . Think there wasn’t much change out of £500 at that point.

I think it's a spare reel from a feature print. It covers the last 50 (ish) minutes of the film through the end credits. It has a bluish cast, but still a lot of fun to watch in Scope.

Yes , loose reels turn up every so often. I did the same with El Cid, The French Connection and Ben Hur then eventually bought the features and to be honest my own mini feature versions were better and more repeatable.

After careful analysis of your titles I had Gremlins, Dark Star, Derann flat copy of Poltergeist and Night of the Living Dead which despite its pirated origin wasn’t a bad print I chose Aliens to Alien .

Great collections, Lincoln & Mike. I’ll add some photos in a couple of days after I straighten up my closet o’ film. It’s looking pretty messy right now.

Oh, that's great Mike! You are welcome...
I LOVE creating the boxes. Trying to find art that hasn't been seen over and over again.
