Many moons ago I bought that 400 footer new of the Muppet Movie, it was very good nice edit, I made the mistake of selling it long ago, wish I had kept it.

Thanks John, it was all down to Derann films in there day. I would save up for one feature a year. The films I liked picking of the most, were the Silly Symphonies. Derann has a extensive list all new prints in stunning color. The price for a new 200 footer was about 27 to 28 pound. Derann also sent out second hand lists which was always had something to catch your eye, so it was a matter back then, to get on the phone as quickly as possible in the hope to at least get secure one film, they were a brilliant to deal with company.

Years ago I sold off most of my 400' digest collection and just held on to the features. Many of these I keep made up on 1200' reels, but the problem I find is storing them. This is the first time that they have been together in the same room. So thankyou Lincoln, as this has got me off my ass to finally sort them out. The 16mm will have to wait for another day.

Hi Lincoln.
I picked up the print about five years ago on French Ebay. I got it for the opening bid of 20 euros as it was not well advertised.
It was to my surprise when it arrived that it was an optical print from Air France, with dual language, french original on the secondary track and a english dub on the master.
Although it is printed on Agfa stock, due to its age it is starting to slightly fade. But still withholds some good colour.
I know that the film is quite highly regarded over this side of the pond, due to its wonderful cast and director. And although it is meant to be a serious drama/thriller. some scenes look like they were directed by Blake Edward's.
When I have some time, I will run it and take some screenshots, as there can't be many copies of it around.
Steve
