Hi, and thank you for letting me join.
I have a Hanimex 924 Loadmatic which I purchased new in the mid 1970's. I'ts been very little used and is in more or less new condition.
I'm trying to digitise my old Super 8 films via the projector and a DSLR camera. I have it all set up, cleaned the gate and lens and happily the bulb is good.
To load a film, the instruction manual (not very comprehensive) says to turn the control knob to "Forward", press the "Film Gate" insert the end of the film and it should thread automatically. The only pressable thing I can see is the red switch above the feed sprocket (referred to in the manual as the "Loop Former") which closes automatically when I operate the forward control. The sprocket feed wheel is not turning. By the way, if anyone has this machine but no manual, I'm happy to post a scanned copy. Thank you.
