  • Elmo GS-1200HD?

In starting a new topic about the GS, Osi inadvertently added "HD" on to the model number. This brought a number of replies that are clever enough to deserve their own topic.

If you're looking for the original thread (with the HD removed), it can be found here.

    Osi?

Do you mean GS1200 or ST1200HD?

(I once had to explain that ST1200HD isn’t “higher definition” than any other S8 projector!)

Is there a HD GS1200? Osi, perhaps you’re referring to a Xenon machine?

I have had a good run with my "GS1200 HD" model. The specifications are a bit different to the standard GS1200. I think I have the "Movie Maker" review somewhere. I understand not to many of the HD versions were made.

          Graham 😊

The ones I owned must have been Friday afternoon versions!

Oh! There is a HD version of the GS. Never knew that. How common/rare is it in that spec?

It's extremely rare, as a matter of fact I photoshopped mine!

This is a pretty rare discussion thread insofar as we are 18 posts in and still not 100% sure what the topic is!

The letters in Graham's picture look exactly like the adhesive letters I used for my home movie titles!

I agree with you Doug about those letters. Graham, is that photo an early April Fools joke?

One aspect of the HD version is that it is controlled by a HAL9000 microprocessor, and can be very temperamental .

                        I like this!

                        -basically just good natured tomfoolery!

Say! Have I ever told you about the ultra-rare Elmo ST-800 Xenon?

Steve, do you call this a “fridge screen“?

-actually since it was dual purpose it's a screen-fridge!

(Clever of the Ocean Holiday to install white refrigerators!)

Of course, everything goes south once you need ice in your drink during a film!

-You open that door and all of a sudden it's "Singin' in the Snow"!
