Thanks Shane, but is that the model 926 in your photo? The only Eumigs I have are two 926. Of course, I'm looking forward to the day that Paul will sell me a 938, (her hee)!

Hi Dave and greetings.
Eumig (pronounced Oimig) have been a huge part of my life for way to long but what great fun with the light weight Austrian made machine which for many have lasted a life time certainly since I got my first new sound 807D machine Xmas 1972 and what a day that was. You'll guess this year marks a milestone for me and looking forward to the Christmas eve show already 50 years on using the same machine.
At one point we had in excess of 30 X 800 models here ranging from the 807D thru to the 824 Sonomatic's but I bit the bullet and converted the majority to modern HID lighting moving them onto new homes. This was also my little tribute to Eumig and the legendary Xenon 850 model that only reached prototype stage, but we did get to see it in the UK once at the Kent photo show a long time ago. Also added a Scope lens bracket and Digital optical audio out which completed the machine.
If I were looking for a Eumig today starting out and didn't require STD 8 (Regular 8) option I would recommend the 936 models which is a Super 8 only machine.
Should you want to project both Super 8 and STD 8 movies then any from the 807D 810D 822 or 824 models are all good. Do make sure all the film gates are with them and complete.
The Eumig 850 Xenon prototype no1 left They also did a later black version. Right my own Eumig HID converted with tuned amplifier.

I was going through some photos I took over the last year or so, that might make you want to I was intending to get at least three going at the same time with the edges matching up and take a little bit of video of super8 outdoor scenery plus add a bit of copyright free music to finish it off, anyway its all still in my thought pattern.
