Hi all! There is no official super 8 release of The Vampire Lovers... except for a trailer. Unlike the other two Karnstein films, Lust for a Vampire and Twins of Evil - for which there were features and digests (Derann & Walton, respectively). I once had a 4 X 400' bootleg of VL in the 70's (from a bootlegger in Louisville) that was awful quality and that Italian release is clearly an unauthorized dupe.
Thanks for the information Brian. Yes that listing is ours hence my question as we couldnt find any information either. It came as part of a large collection from the estate of a horror/sci fi collector. We have provided a range of screenshots and condition description but cant attribute it to a distributor. So we will leave it to potential bidders to decide their interest in this one
One of those under the counter jobs we don’t talk about. You know Derann weren’t saints 😇.
My print wasn’t bad I got it from Derann second hand. It’s not as good as Lust for a Vampire and not in the same room as Twins of Evil but not bad. I’ll stick to Blu ray.
Legitimate smidgemite! It exists on super 8 and isn't so danged bad! Be Happy and say "thanks" to those who loved the film so much that they would print it on super 8, no matter what the bloody stock!
